YingZhao Liu, born in 1957, is a well known artist inside and outside of China. After receiving his Master of Art degree in 1992, YingZhao won the third place prize in a Chinese national exhibition. From that year on, YingZhao Liu also began to sell his still-life paintings through Christie's, one of the world's two biggest art auction houses. Since then, his paintings have been sold by Christie's in Hong Kong and in Beijing. YingZhao Liu belongs to the generation of new realism masters in the contemporary Chinese art scene.
