Born in 1965 in Shijiazhuang, Hebei Province in China, Piao Ye graduated from the Oil Painting Department at Tianjin Art Academy with a BA degree.
Piao Ye is a devoted painter who for many years studied color and light. Of course there were influences from Imprresionist painters, but he has developed his own style.
He also blends in color schemes from "Gong Bi Hua", one of the two traditional Chinese ink painting schools, to reveal the subtleness of color.
