A master realist who was born in China and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Shanghai Normal University, Jie Wei Zhou earned his passage to the United States by sending paintings to a gallery in the U.S. and saving the proceeds from his sales. Now a US resident, Zhou paints pictures of Tibetans, Mongolians and Chinese. Jerry Chou is the pseudo name for Jie Wei Zhou used early in his career.
